Because I could not stop for Death - He kindly stopped for me. Bill Wren, 92, passed from this world into the glory of eternity on April 25, 2014. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at St. Peter's Church, 815 E. Meyer Blvd., Kansas City, Mo., with the Rosary at 5 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, immediately following Mass. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Peter's Church. Bill was a native of Kansas City and lifelong Catholic having attended St. James Grade school, Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst College. Bill's career was an Insurance Underwriter. Bill also had a company called "Christian Design" at one time. Bill was a true gentleman, a dapper dresser, reminding most that met him of a young Cary Grant. He loved and cared greatly for people and had a gift for entertaining. Bill volunteered at the St. James Food Kitchen and was always willing to provide transportation to his elderly friends. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen and his dearest friend, Bob Wyatt with whom he shared the love of travel and finery. He is survived by his "adopted" niece and caregiver, Patti Arkell as well as his many dear friends in the St. Peter's community. Condolences may be made at www.mcgilleymidtownchapel.com
