

Albert and his wife Joe Ann had lived in the Katy Texas area for the last several years, near their son. Immediately after graduating high school in 1942, he joined the United States Navy where he served in the South Pacific during World War II. After his discharge from the Navy, he went to work in the oil field in South Texas with a company PGAC later to become Dresser Atlas where he was in sales. He retired in 1989, and began a new hobby of business and collecting antique barbed wire. He would make clocks, maps, earrings, and other unique items to sell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruth Day, brother, Don Day, sister, Patsy Hart. Mr. Day is survived by his wife, Joe Ann Day; sister, Gladys Swann; son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Jennifer Day; niece, Cheryl Beu; nephew; Larry Hoelscher; granddaughter and her husband, Ryan and Nick Waller, and his great-granddaughters, Taylor, Valorie, and Danni Waller.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, Texas with the funeral service is to be conducted at 5:00 pm in the chapel of Katy Funeral Home.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Alice, Texas, weather permitting.
