Angelita H. Perez

Angelita was born August 27, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Tx to Gabriela and Jesus Herrera. She attended Driscoll Middle School where she would meet the love of her life Felix Perez Jr. They would marry October 12, 1973. Angelita (also known as Angie) loved to spend time with her family and friends. Every chance they would get Angie and Felix would hit the highway on one of their many road trip adventures. One could say she was a professional bingo player, she loved playing bingo and teaching others the game. Angie was her family’s historian- you needed to know something she was the one to go to, she was a great storyteller. If you asked her to dance, she would never say no, she loved to dance. Now our Dancing Queen is dancing away in heaven.

Mrs. Angelita H. Perez was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriela and Jesus Herrera; and sons, John Andrew Perez and Jaime F. Perez. She leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Felix Perez Jr.; brother, Jesus F. Herrera; children, Laura Perez, Angela Perez, John Perez (Nicholas Alvarado) Valerie Chavers (Kwame) Felix Perez III and Crystal Perez; grandchildren, Serena Perez, Sierra Perez, Lauren Wooten, Nathan Perez- Jones, Marley Perez, Londyn Lightfoot, Joaquin Hurtado and Lucas Hurtado; great-granddaughter, Olivianna Barrett- Wooten; and her fur baby, Belle.

Angelita, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The Perez Family would like to give a special thanks to the staff who took great care of her through the years: Fresenius Dialysis Center, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital and PDR Home Health Agency.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, October 7, 2021 in the Rio Grande Chapel of Katy Funeral Home (23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Tx 77449). A Rosary will be held at 6 PM that evening.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, October 8, 2021 in the Rio Grande Chapel of Katy Funeral Home (23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Tx 77449).
