Our beautiful ray of sunshine, our mother Brenda Jean Shipley-Fox, passed on at the young age of 59. She had a courageous fight while going through her cancer diagnosis. She lived each day in the moment, and through her faith and Gods promises, she knew it was time and God called her home. She peacefully left this world into the comfort of His arms on 5/23/24.
Brenda was preceded in passing by her mother, Delores Fox; her father,
Martin Shipley; her Grandma Mae Behrndt; as well as her three brothers, Jerry,Daryl, and Troy
Brenda is survived by and leaves her love to her partner, Louis, and her beautiful children: Jessica, Samantha, Laura, Nathan, and additional blessing, Hannah, as well as her sons-in-law, Josh, Michael, and Joe.
She also leaves her love to all her beautiful grandchildren, Shelby, Brandon, and Eathen-Jacob and
Jayden-Liv, Aria, and additional little blessings, Parker and Olivia.
She leaves her love to her brothers and sisters, Cheryl,Jeff,Steve,Scott and her sweet sister-in-law, Monica.
Brenda continued to love and appreciate the fathers of her children,
Troy, Ken, and Dave, for the times that they shared and the blessings of her children.
Brenda worked from home. She was an entrepreneur, making jewelry. She was passionate about rock hounding and the process of how she made each piece of jewelry. She enjoyed planting flowers, bargain shopping, watching movies, and reading books. She also had an eye for fashion and a love for music, as she shared a talent with her children and a few of her grandchildren who love to write lyrics and sing. Her most favorite thing to do was to be around her family and friends, and her cat, Patches, who liked to help pick out her shoes for the day, and her dogs, Bruiser, Emmitt, and Bernard.
Although she was born in Ohio and resided there over the last five years, she lived in Texas most of her life, surrounded by her children and grandchildren and other close family. She had a great love for Texas and the warmth and sunshine, as it felt similar to who she was and how big her heart was. She leaves a lot of love behind to her family and her friends who truly cared and loved her. Our mother,
Brenda, will always and forever be loved and treasured through our memories and through all the knowledge she has given us as we go through our own journey of life until we meet again, and you watch us come home to the kingdom of God.
You will always continue to be our rock, our one-of-a-kind gem.
A visitation for Brenda will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, KATY, TX 77494, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
