

Marina grew up in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and New Orleans, Louisiana. After Hurricane Katrina, she resided in Katy, TX. She married Edward Samuel Brodie Jr. on July 31, 1960, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and together, they built a loving family and shared many cherished memories.
Marina was a devoted housewife who was deeply involved with the church at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. She was a dedicated volunteer at the 377th TAACOM Army Reserve in New Orleans. After her husband's passing, she did a great deal of volunteer work with the family support organization at the Army Reserve in New Orleans. Marina was best known for her skills in sewing, crocheting, cooking, and baking cakes, which brought joy to her family and friends. Her dedication and hard work were evident in all her endeavors.
Marina is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Samuel Brodie Jr. She is survived by her son, John Brodie, and daughter-in-law, Michelle Brodie; her daughter Paula Finney, her grandchildren, Brittany , Samuel, Johnathan, Noah, Mya, Isaiah, Kyle, Celia, Bodin, Tanner and Daren. Her great-children Brailee, Liam and Ezekiel.
A visitation will be held on February 1, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Katy Funeral Home, located at 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494. The funeral service will follow on the same day from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the same venue. A committal service will take place on February 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
Celia's legacy of love and service will be cherished by her family and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
