Charles "Sterling" Rhemann, was born August 14, 1970 in San Angelo, Texas. He passed away at home with his family at his side after a long, courageous battle with cancer (angiosarcoma) on Friday, September 5, 2014.
Sterling graduated from Katy High School in 1988 and The University of Houston in 1998 (Cum Luade) with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Sterling was known for his gifted mechanical skills and uncanny ability to fix anything. He always had a fascination for engines of all types, but specifically he loved Indy race cars and Mustangs. He was a pilot, a boater, a hunter and loved being in the sun outdoors. He had an appreciation for Bi-planes, jet engines and fiberglass. He was a natural fabricator and was clever and resourceful when trying to come up with solutions. He would often design his own parts or improvise. All these interests and qualities made him a good professional fit for fourteen years at Hudson Corporation as a Fan Engineer and a supervisor.
Sterling is survived by his wife of 15 years (best friends for 23 years), Angelle, daughters, Casey and Reese, fun loving dogs who stayed by his side, Charlie and Lola, parents, Ron and Karen Rhemann, sister, Charlene (Kenny) Kolbe, and brother, Brandon (Lori) Rhemann. He will be laid to rest in Fulshear cemetery.
Donations may be made in Sterling's name to Houston Hospice (www.houstonhospice.org).
