Daniel Alejandro Lerma

Daniel Alejandro Lerma (Medellin), age 29, born August 19, 1986 in Falfurias, Texas died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Houston, Texas and lived Katy most of his life. Daniel graduated from Katy High school in 2005 and was an audio video technician for over 10 years, and more recently software operations. Daniel was a member of H-townRiderz, his motorcycle family.

Daniel enjoyed playing golf and being on his motorcycle on the open country roads with his boys. He loved playing basketball and spending time with his family. He had a huge network of friends whom he enjoyed hanging out with. He also loved learning new things and would often sit for hours and watch YouTube just to learn how to do stuff on his own.

Special thanks to all his family and friends that have had offered comfort and support, to all the many souls that donated on the GoFundMe account, to Daniel and Sheri’s neighbors that contributed and came by to offer support, the HTownRiderz who came by and perform the ceremony with the beautiful candlelight vigil and cross near the site of the accident, and the many many friends who have called and come over to help keep things functioning during this difficult time. To Daniel’s big brother Rocky Serna who Daniel considered not only his best friend but also his role model. To all his audio video family: John Caudle with Staging Solution, the people at RF Installations, and so many others that had a huge impact on his career.

Daniel loved each and every one of you and we know his smile touched us all. We will carry him in our hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by his Father Abel Medellin, his grandmother Elda Medellin, his aunt Sandra Medellin. Daniel is survived by his Fiancé Sheri and stepdaughter Auryana; his siblings Rocky Serna and Kali Bandiera, mother Anna Serna and grandfather Able Medellin, Sr. He was also survived by his aunts on his father’s side: Leticia, Rachel, Rosie, Shelly, and Cristy and numerous cousins.

Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 with at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard in Katy, Texas. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, at Katy Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Katy-Magnolia Cemetery.
