Darrell Vance Troville, 69, of Fulshear, Texas, passed away on March 18, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1956, in Hartford, Connecticut.
Darrell was the founder of DT Marine Winches, where he built not only a business, but a legacy of hard work, ingenuity, and dedication. He was known as a kind and gentle soul, someone who would help anyone in need without hesitation. While he carried a quiet and sweet nature, those who knew him also knew he could stand his ground when it mattered.
His love language was acts of service, one of which he showed by cooking for family and friends. He had a deep love for sports and found his greatest joy in his family. Darrell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His life was marked by generosity, strength, and an unwavering willingness to show up for others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Leah Troville; his children, Jaime Dunn and her spouse Rick, Darrell Troville Jr. and his spouse Sara, and Kyrstin Van Demark and her spouse Adam; his grandchildren, Tristan Halloran, MacKenzie Dunn, Sam Dunn, Vance Troville, Hayes Troville, Ryen Troville, Kamryn Van Demark, and Myles Van Demark; and his great-grandchildren, Kasey Dunn, Phoebe Halloran, and Jameson Halloran.
He is also survived by his siblings, Ron Tourville of Vermont; Doreen Legrand and her husband Phil of Florida; Colleen Troville of Vermont; Rick Troville and his wife Laurie of Vermont; Steve Troville and his wife Sheryl of Vermont; and Bill Delisle and his wife Sue of Vermont; and countless nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elaine Delisle, Wilifred Delisle, and Larry Troville; and his siblings, Norma Cox and her husband Randy Cox, and Timothy Troville. Darrell’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, his work, and his love for his family.
His strength, kindness, and love will continue to guide us.
A Funeral Mass will be held on April 10, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Wildcatter Saloon, 26913 Katy Fwy, Katy, TX 77494.
