Darren was born on March 22, 1972, in Dover, New Jersey, to his loving parents, Dominick and Josephine. He was a devoted father to his three children, Ashley, Andrew, and Austin, and a loving husband to his wife, Jennifer, whom he was married to for 26 years.
Darren spent his early years in New Jersey before moving to Houston, Texas at the age of nine. He graduated from Langham Creek High School. After graduation, he attended the University of Texas at Austin and completed his degree at the University of Houston Downtown, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems.
Darren was a longtime employee of Harris County in the IT department and also worked in the film industry as a video assist technician.
It is difficult to fully capture the man Darren was, but his family and friends could speak for days about the qualities that defined him. His deep love for his family and friends, his strong work ethic, and his sense of humor were among his best traits.
Darren was never known as a man who could sit still, always finding new activities to satisfy his great mind. He had a remarkable ability to learn and master whatever he set his mind to. Whether tackling home renovations himself, woodworking and painting, creating cornhole boards, or playing a game of darts, Darren approached everything with determination and perfection. Whatever he put his mind to, he succeeded in, and this captures the very essence of who he was.
Darren is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; his beloved daughter, Ashley; and his devoted sons, Andrew and Austin. He leaves behind his loving brother, Dominick; his sister-in-law, Liz; his niece, Samantha; and his nephew, Dominick. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Robert Redfield; his sister-in-law, Mandi Redfield; his nephews, Brayden and Dylan Redfield; and his niece, Avery Redfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominick and Josephine, as well as his sister-in-law, Christine. Perhaps nobody knew his love more than them, and they will deeply miss him.
A funeral will be held Friday, March 20th at 11:30am at St. Faustina Catholic Church (28102 FM
1093, Fulshear, TX 77441)
