

Donna Brown, a longtime resident of Houston, passed away on October 12, 2025, at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital at the age of 74.
She was born on October 2, 1951, in Cushing, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Donald J. Heidemann and Irene Taylor Heidemann. Donna was raised and educated in Cushing, where she graduated from Cushing High School. On March 2, 1970, she was united in marriage to Edward D. Brown, also in Cushing. Together they shared a loving home and raised two children, Micheal and Seandria.
Donna held various jobs over the years but found her place in Houston, where she worked as a school crossing guard at Mayde Creek Schools. She also dedicated herself to her family as a full-time homemaker.
A talented and creative artist, Donna worked in many mediums throughout her life. Most recently, she found joy in creating intricate chainmail bead jewelry. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Micheal Brown and his wife Sarah Grace of Universal City, Texas; her daughter, Seandria Zalewski and her husband Mark of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her cherished grandchildren, Lanz Brown and Nora Brown; her sister, Deborah Sells; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
