

Ms. Elizabeth Eaglin Holloway, 78, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was the fifth of six children and a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Elizabeth dedicated 27 years of service to Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she excelled and was promoted to Manager of Major Business Accounts. Her hard work and dedication earned her numerous accolades and recognitions throughout her career. Even after retiring in 2000, her passion for service and engagement led her to work with the Democratic Political Party and Texas Instruments.
A lifelong learner, Elizabeth was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School and later attained her degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. She valued education and integrity, instilling in her children the importance of knowledge, self-improvement, and strong moral character.
Elizabeth was a devoted member of St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church since 1993, where she was an active Lector, sharing her faith through scripture readings and service to the church community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Joseph Eaglin and Florence Henry Eaglin; her sisters, Mary Vivian Tyler and Bernadette Lavine; her brother-in-law, Kalton Lavine Sr.; and her brothers, Bernard Eaglin and Lloyd Eaglin.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Henry Eaglin (Eva) of Port Arthur; her daughter, Glenetta Solomon (Michael); her sons, Warren Holloway (Melanie) and Jason Holloway (Victoria), all of Houston, Texas. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Johnathan Lavine, Michelle Stasio, Michael Solomon Jr., Robert Solomon, Marcus Solomon, Vernon Solomon, Montenae Solomon, Jeremiah Holloway, and Esther Holloway; along with five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Elizabeth’s legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication to family and community will be forever cherished by all who knew her.
