Gage Guidry was a true Texan at heart—steadfast, warm, loyal, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. Born in Houston and raised in Katy, Texas, Gage grew up surrounded by family, lifelong friendships, and a strong community that shaped him into the incredible man he became. He attended Cinco Ranch High School, where he proudly played football and developed not only a passion for the game but the grit, commitment, and brotherhood that marked his life.
From his earliest years through high school, Gage built bonds that truly lasted. He and the boys he grew up with spent their childhoods running the neighborhood, playing football, laughing, and learning what loyalty really meant. Those friendships became family—and they stayed that way.
Gage attended Texas Tech University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and went on to pursue his Master’s Degree in Accounting. During his college years, he interned with BDO and Deloitte and received offers from several top accounting firms across the country. He ultimately chose Deloitte and proudly launched his professional career there. While at Texas Tech, Gage was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, where he built another network of lifelong friendships and shared leadership, commitment, and camaraderie.
During his time at Texas Tech, Gage met the love of his life, Payton Jackson, who later became his fiancée. Together, they built a life centered around love, devotion, fun, and partnership. Their home was always warm, welcoming, and full of joy—shared with their two beloved dogs, Potato and Hank.
Gage loved deeply and lived fully. He loved to cook and host his friends. He loved to hunt and cherished time spent at the farm in Newton growing up, creating lasting memories with his family and friends. He was the person you could always count on—reliable, steady, encouraging—and always the one pushing those around him to do better and be better. If Gage loved you, you felt it. And you never questioned it.
In 2024, Gage was diagnosed with Astrocytoma, a form of Glioblastoma. For nearly two years, he fought with unimaginable strength, courage, dignity, and grace. He never complained. He never stopped fighting. And even in the hardest moments, his kindness, warmth, and beautiful spirit never faded. His caregivers, friends, and family were consistently met with his smile—because even when his world was heavy, Gage still chose love.
Gage’s life, though heartbreakingly short, was powerful and meaningful. He was kindhearted, determined, fiercely loving, loyal, and unshakably strong. He lived with conviction. He cared with depth. He never gave up. And he never stopped loving those who meant everything to him.
He is survived by:
His mother, Lisa Guidry
His fathers, Brett Blanchard and Craig Guidry
His brothers, Jonah Guidry, Gavin Blanchard, and Zachary Blanchard
His grandparents, Jo Price & Burt Cohen, and Jo Ann Blanchard, Rita, and David Guidry
His fiancée, Payton Jackson, and her family
And several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Gage was loved beyond measure and remains deeply loved still. His heart, his courage, his laughter, and his unwavering spirit will forever live on in everyone blessed to have known him. His legacy is love, strength, loyalty, and grace—and that will never fade.
