

passed away on December 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of his
family. Born on December 27, 1950, Jim was the beloved son of
Mavis Mozell Garner and William Asa Sanderlin.
In 1980, Jim married, Georgia Dutton. Jim was a proud father to
his daughters Nicole Womble (husband Adam) and Miranda
Sanderlin, who were the greatest joys of his life. He was also a
deeply cherished grandfather to Hayden, Allison, Addison, and
Harrison Womble, each of whom brought him immense pride
and happiness.
Jim is survived by his brother Anthony Wayne Sanderlin, and
his sister Mary Louise McClave. He is preceded in death by his
parents, his brothers William Thel Woodard and Dale Worth
Woodard, and his sisters Dorthia Anne Bonnin and Carlita
Yvonne Woodard Wheeler.
Jim honorably served his country in the United States Marine
Corps, a commitment that shaped his character and instilled in
him the values of discipline, loyalty, and quiet strength. He went
on to dedicate more than 40 years to an accomplished career with
Raytheon, Washington Group, Bechtel, and ultimately retired
from Shell in 2020.
Outside of work, Jim found joy in the simple but meaningful
pleasures of life. He loved playing the drums, riding motorcycles
on open Texas roads, and spending cherished time with his
daughters and grandchildren.
His presence—steady, kind, and full of heart—was a source of
comfort and love to everyone who knew him.
Jim leaves behind a legacy of devotion, hard work, and deep love
for his family. His laughter, his stories, and his unwavering
generosity will be remembered always.
He will be profoundly missed
