

Javier “Javi” Alejos, a beloved son, brother, partner, stepfather, and friend, passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 34. Javi grew up in Channelview, Texas. He graduated from North Shore High School and went on to become an HVAC technician and NCCER-certified rigger. A driven entrepreneur, he owned and operated Jav’s Cycles, where his passion for motorcycles and mechanics came to life.
Javi’s greatest joys came from spending time with those he loved. Whether he was planning a family outing, DJ’ing, firing up the grill for carne asada, wakeboarding on the water, or gaming on XBOX online with his buddies, he enjoyed fine dining and watching movies. He had a passion for working on motorcycles and vehicles. Javi always brought fun, laughter, and unforgettable energy.
He always wanted to have fun and would brighten the room with his energy and passion for music. He would come in and make sure everyone had a great time! If you needed a job in the chemical plant industry you could count on Javi. He would regularly check up on friends and family.
The love he had for his parents ran deep and always lended a helping hand anytime they needed it. He loved working along side of his brother, David, and his nieces and nephew lit his heart up! His loyalty and generosity knew no bounds. He lit up every room he entered and had a unique gift for making everyone feel included and alive with his music and charisma.
Javi shared a deep and inseparable bond with his life partner, Leticia Gil. The two were almost always side by side, If you saw Javi, Lety was right behind him. They built a life filled with love, laughter, and support. He was a devoted stepfather to Jasmine, Vanessa, and J.P. Barrera, and a proud pet dad to his cat, Benito.
He is survived by his loving parents, Humberto Alejos and Obdulia Rodriguez; his brother and best friend David Alejos, and sister-in-law Emily Alejos; his adored nieces, Arlette and Ariela Alejos; and his cherished nephew, Aziel Alejos. He also leaves behind his devoted partner Leticia Gil and his beloved stepchildren Jasmine, Vanessa, and J.P., as well as countless extended family members and friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.
Javi was known for his vibrant personality, his heart for helping others, and his love for family and life. Javi’s legacy is one of joy, loyalty, and unconditional love. He lived with passion and gave without limits. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will be felt forever.
