Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Rowell, son of the late Rex L. Rowell and Patricia Ann Pike Rowell, was born in Houston, Texas on December 17, 1963. He peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jeff was united in holy matrimony with Kim on January 6, 2000 after four years of being together, bringing six children to their blended family. He was a family man, loved his family and was a devoted PawPaw. He loved football, Nascar racing and hockey. In fact, he met his wife at a hockey game. He liked to travel and enjoyed his special man cave. Most of all he enjoyed time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. Jeff was in the U.S. Navy and then pursued a lifetime career as an HVAC technician.
Although he will be dearly missed, there is tremendous comfort knowing he is no longer in pain. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Kim, and their children and spouses Jenn Cobb (Clif), Tiffany Woyciecki, Valerie Woyciecki, Ryan Meduna (Melissa), Taylor Rowell, and Taylor Murrell (Kenny). His adored grandchildren are Chase Cobb, Josh Cobb, Madisyn Henderson, Hayden Martin-Meduna and Aubrey Nyemah. His brother, Russell Rowell (Terri) and sister, Sherri DiFrancesco, also survived him, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, in Katy. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017, in the chapel of Katy Funeral Home, with Chaplain Daniel Schramm officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
