Jonathan Peter Lucas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan Lucas, who was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and grew up in England. He attended St. Peter's Primary School in Scarborough, where he laid the foundation for a life rich with learning and friendships. A dedicated professional, Jonathan served as the Vice President of Sales for Icon Identity Solutions, where his commitment to excellence and his ability to forge meaningful connections set him apart in his field. He approached every challenge with determination, achieving his goals with unwavering focus. Outside of work, Jonathan was a passionate individual, known for his love of grilling, fishing, hunting, and woodworking. His workshop was his sanctuary, a place where he found joy and solace, often creating beautiful pieces with his own hands. Above all, Jonathan was a caring man who gave every part of his heart and soul to his family and friends. He possessed a remarkable ability to make everyone feel immediately comfortable in his presence, and his conversations were filled with warmth and wisdom. Proud of his grandchildren, he would do anything to see them succeed in life, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Jonathan is survived by his son, Eric Lucas; granddaughters, Addison Lucas, Kamryn King, and Sofie King; and stepsons, Josh King and David King. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patty Kay King, who passed away on June 14, 2023. As we remember Jonathan, we celebrate a life well-lived—a loyal friend, a devoted family man, and an accomplished individual. He leaves behind a legacy of love and support, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His favorite colors of green and blue will forever remind us of his vibrant spirit and the love he shared.

A visitation for Jonathan will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, KATY, TX 77494, followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
