Joseph Floyd “Buddy” Vincent was born and raised in Angleton, Texas, and graduated from Tomball High School. Throughout his life, he worked many jobs, always putting his hands and heart into whatever he was doing. He spent more than 20 years at Painter’s Repair Shop and also worked as a mechanic, security guard, hospital chef, warehouse worker, at a buffalo farm, and even at the Renaissance Fair. Most recently, he was a Domino’s delivery driver, a job he enjoyed for the chance to be out and about meeting people.
He was best known for his cooking, his talent for finding and fixing motorcycles, his quick sense of humor, and his ability to make people smile. He loved going to parties, riding motorcycles, going to concerts, watching movies, telling jokes, and helping others whenever he could. More than anything, he loved being with the people he cared about most.
He married Georgene Mason in the living room, a moment full of love and laughter, though the two later separated. His home was always filled with life, especially with his five beloved dogs—Charlie, Louie, Lucy, June Bug, and Yoda. If you asked him his favorite thing to do, it was simple: spending time with the people he loved.
He never wanted a sad funeral. He wanted to be remembered with joy, laughter, and love, for the man he truly was. He often reminded others to live the way you want to live and never let anyone bring you down.
He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Christopher Lloyd Vincent; his father, Lloyd Vincent; his mother, Mary Bainbridge; and his twin brother, Billy Vincent.
He is survived by his eldest son, Joseph Daniel Vincent; his three granddaughters, Amethyst, Marceline, and Jocelyn Vincent; his nephew, Tristan DeLeon; and his niece, Brittany DeLeon.
To his family and friends, he will always be remembered as the “Best Father Ever,” a man with a big heart, a bigger laugh, and a life lived his own way.
