I'm tongue tied ,I don't know how to express my condolences, with heavy heart, great loss, my hearfelt condolences goes to the entire family of Thomas's... Aunty B,  Gboyega,Kunle & Tanwa, and other members of the family, God will comfort you all at this time... Well, I I believed Uncle T, is in a better place resting... 
Uncle Adewale Thomas,  is a softspoken and outspoken man with rich knowledge bank in Politics that cannot be compared with his contemporary.  His words were still fresh on my mind, great Uncle,with  good heart, caring man, always stopping by to see my family, memories shared &  indeed your thought as a father and legacy you left behind, will forever nurtured in their hearts and other folks hearts as well...

When Aunty B, pulled through that call, "I still couldn't get out of that shock, I had a
memory deficit, trying to process the whole message, literally,I was completely blank"!

Death just snatched you off from us, your fondly famous phrase "fresh green's" would be a refreshing thing to remember you for and tbe good counsel you shared  to me will forever be remembered,  although, you are resting in the bossom of our Lord, may His  grace and His presence be our shield at all times

Surely, on that ressurection day,pp we shall meet again!

Uncle Dewale brought so many happy moments in our lives and left us with a treasure trove of memories. Words cannot describe this difficult moment, but if this is the last time I get to say goodbye then I know I will do so with the knowledge that I consider myself blessed to have lived this life as your niece.
You touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always keeping in touch with everyone and ensuring we were okay. Your dedication was what set you apart. 

Uncle, you were and will always be an inspiration to myself, the entire family and anyone who knew you. You have left a void in the family that will never be filled.
Not sure what else to say about uncle Dewale except that I was extremely fortunate to have him as my uncle and now that he is gone, I will miss him dearly. 
While we mourn today, we also take comfort in the fact that your mission on earth have been fulfilled. We thank the Lord for your life and bid you farewell until we meet again.

My uncle Joshua A Thomas belongs to the heavens now and his spirit walks among those of his dear mother, father and my dad... his twin Olaseni Thorpe. As I think of the absolute finality of death and realise that I can no longer speak to him, I rue the missed opportunities – the conversations I could have had with him but never did. I suppose that is the cruelty of death – and life.  
Five days to the date my dad died, you left us. I guess you really were twins. When you see my dad, tell him how much he is missed. Tell him you saw my children and they miss him. Tell him how much I miss him and would now miss you both. I really hoped to see you this Easter but I guess God had other plans. 
My uncle is no more and I shall never see or speak to him again. I cannot tell him how much I love him or how much I'll miss getting that ping on my phone because he has sent me a forwarded message on WhatsApp. And now, while my only wish is for him to send me a million forwarded messages, he no longer can.
If I had known that the last time I spoke to you would have been the last time. Maybe I would have stayed on just a little longer. 
You were a lot of things to so many people, but to me you were my ever loving uncle who loved me unconditionally and that meant the world to me.  Rest in Peace uncle. Rest in the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear Egbon, I thank God for your life. You were blessed more than most and you shared these blessings with everyone lucky enough to meet you. Thank God for the peace that followed you and radiated from you to everyone when you enter the room. I know you are with the Almighty. Thank you for everything. I miss you. Love you forever.

Our dearest Uncle,words  alone cannot express my heart gratitude  when in February 2004,I was rendered homeless,you were the angel that God sent to  put me in your home. I feel so sad that with all your prayers and heart desires for me to be fruitful in my marriage, you did not get the chance to see the  little angel-baby Noah  God sent to us.However I know you are in the hands of God right now.May you rest in perfect peace.

What an exemplary gentleman! Brother Dewale was my egbon and friend with whom I shared some fond memories. I remember so well the photos we shared during his 70th birthday. His diligence showed in the manner in which he worked his farm on Moniya-Iseyin road.  I trust he is now resting in Christ's bosom.

I fell in love with you the first day I met you at our daughter's wedding in Abeokuta, you led the entire Thomas family there to share our joy and excitement, in keeping with what I later knew as the Thomas family tradition, because after that I met you and other members of the Thomas clan at various family functions.

You always had a sincere, straight from the heart contagious smile. Very humble demeanor, simply, you were a perfect gentleman that I had a lot of admiration for. 

You indeed fought a good fight but you are Home now with your Master, Maker, Lord, Saviour and Friend 2 Timothy 4:7. You will be greatly missed Brother Dewale. 

The immediate Adewale-Thomas and the entire Thomas family be comforted, we shall be reunited again 1 Thessalonians 4:18

Bro.  Dewale, my dear brother, cousin and father figure. My ever dependable brother, you were my encourager and big support system especially in the early days. I will always be grateful for your financial support when I was leaving Nigeria for the UK to further my education in the early 80s. You were a role model and a family man with a servant spirit.  You were  present to witness our 10th year wedding anniversary in 2002. Thank God for the life you lived and your dedication to family.  Bro. Dewale was a man of humility who was vastly knowledgeable. There was hardly a topic of discussion that Bro. Dewale could not offer insight on. You were a great historian and resource. I knew I could always refer to you with questions relating to family history. You had a gift of sharing historical facts without missing sequential dates.  I have so much more to ask, I thought we had time, but it is well.  RIP my dear brother!

Bro. Dewale as we fondly referred to you, my cousin in law who was more of my brother-in-love. Thank you for treating me as one of your own rather than an in-law. I will miss our WhatsApp calls and messages. I will miss our long talks. More importantly, I will miss you Bro Dewale. You were a gentleman, all the time! You were intelligent, knowledgeable, humble and caring. Thank you for standing in as father of the day when the Thorpe-Thomas family came to ask for my hand in marriage 28 years ago. Thank you for being there through the years as a reliable father figure. I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to host you and the family to a pre-70th birthday luncheon in Lagos 2 years ago. The laughters and memories shared on that day will be treasured for many years. Regretfully, that was the last time I saw you in person.  Thank you for your genuine love for our family.

Is really sad when I heard the passing of Uncle Dewale Thomas. As many had already mentioned his adorable smile any time you come across him. To be sincere my family count ourselves as part of Thomas family. I get closer to him more due to his closeness and love he has to his sister ( lawyer Bamidele Thomas).. I can remember number of times he vacate his room for my family to be comfortable whenever we are in New York.In fact I have a lot to say about him because he is a special human being. As fondly called by many as Mr. T., with all respect I say sleep well my Uncle.

May his gentle soul rest in the precious hands of our Lord Jesus Christ.  May his Angels be kind to him in the great beyond and most of all favour him for a life full of kindness and love he has shown everyone  who had the Golden opportunity to meet him. He lived the life expressed in Matthew Chapter 5 verses 3 -12, no doubt he is in LORD'S bosom. We will never forget you, Uncle T, we will eternally remember you, Patrick will always remember you for good. GOD keep you save and bless all you left behind. Adios, in Jesus Christ name I pray. ‘Bros me’ as we fondly called you, words cannot express the void you’ve left  for  us . No one can fill that Cool, Calm and Collected personality talk-less of that big smile. 
    When my dad , J. Adewale Adu (your uncle ) passed, you reminded me that you were named after him. Since then, I never looked at you as a cousin but as a father figure. You portrayed that father figure till the end. 
You gave it all to our family. Always  with us here in Atlanta. 
  During Bolaji’s 50th birthday celebration, you came and spent days with us to help with the running around. Then came my 60th Birthday celebration, you arrived that very morning from Nigeria to join the celebration.  Countless times, you’ll visit from New York just to spend time with the family. All your humility goes a long way. 
  “We’ll mobilize”,  no one to tell us that anymore. 
   Good night Bros me! We love you but The Almighty Lord loves you best.

My very dear brother-in-law, my Uncle Dewale has gone home. This gentleman man of the Lagos Thomas Dynasty has gone home to rest.

Uncle Dewale was one of the few people who believed in my dream of building a Refinery in Nigeria, he was the only one that did all he could to support Midoil until we were approved our first 20,000 bpd LTE.

How else can I tell the world about you for what your encouragement for this project meant to me?
But all words are lost to you now, my Sis Bola is in pain and crying uncontrollably, the children eyes are red with crying non stop and the grandchildren are wondering why everyone is crying .

My UNCLE DEWALE has gone home, my amiable gentleman has gone home, I call you Uncle Dewale and you call me Aunty Molara with the sweetest care for a sister. At your 70th Birthday in 2018, despite the crowd, we were still able to discuss Midoil as always. Unfortunately for me that was the last time I saw you in person except our telephone conversations.

Uncle Dewale, I miss you, we miss you and everyone will miss OUR LAGOS AMERICA GENTLEMAN.

Adewale Joshua Thomas, our journey together on earth started around 55 years ago when we met through your handsome close brother- late Seni Thorpe at your exclusive house in Bodija, Ibadan.
It was a great opportunity because we easily recognized your wisdom, intelligence, maturity and calmness. We all became so close and inspired one another. You and your siblings were all Ajebota children.
As the years went by we all excelled and inspired one another then we decided to go to USA to further our studies where you demonstrated high management & intelligence skills. I remember when we talked to each other you will tell us how your grades were all As' and that really inspired the rest of us to excel which made you a natural born leader.
Whenever our good gang of friends were hungry we know where to go either your house or Thorpe's or Dawodu's house. When we get to your house your loving hardworking beautiful mom always welcome us with tantalizing foods & drinks telling your equally beautiful sister- Dele serve us.
In USA you became our defacto leader because of your enormous capacity to approach and solve issues, you were always calm and operates without bitterness.
Your beautiful lovely wife- Bola became your strength whom you told me was your eternal backbone who accepted you for whom you are and supported you in many of your endeavors.
During your 70th birthday service,vthe Bishop of your Church praised you of how you contributed to the growth of the Church, how you inspired people, how you used your wisdom & calmness to settle disputes, how you contributed both financially & morally to the growth of the Church.
I recall how your loving sister said you were a great inspiration to all your siblings which was why all of them travelled from USA to attend your birthday celebrations.
When we got married in NY your immense contributions were phenomenal.
