Ms Jovanna Marie Winchester

Jovanna was an intelligent woman, she made sure to prioritize her education. She graduated from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She did not stop there, Jovanna continued her education and received her Master’s Degree of Science in Project Management and Operations from the Southern New Hampshire University. In her Engineering career, she excelled in; Fibre-Optics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Health and Safety Supervisory and Leadership. Jovanna had an amazing career with the Cobb Fendley and Associates, Inc. as a Project Engineer. Prior to this whilst working with Oceaneering Inc as an ROV Supervisor, she played a primary role during the disastrous BP oil spill in The Gulf Of Mexico operating the Remotely-operated vehicle (ROV).

She dedicated time to her church St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, and she was affiliated with the American Cancer Society. Jovanna loved spending time with her family and her friends. She enjoyed watching movies and reading motivational books. In the summer she enjoyed swimming under the warm sun. She even enjoyed drama and thus graduated from the New York Film Academy.

Jovanna is preceded in death by her father, Peter Winchester. She leaves behind her mother, Shelley Winchester: Siblings; Brentte Winchester, Chanel Warwick, and Rene Winchester: Her nieces; Jazmin and Hailee Winchester, Xari and Xoe Warwick, and Aspen Ali: She also leaves behind her friends; Adanna Als, Gaynor Shand, Rheisa Sylvester, Laird Agard, Olivia Matthews, Nigel Barrow, Shamika Cudjoe, and many others.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Houston Methodist West Hospital, Drs; Iqbal, Rome, LaFuente, and Nautiyal, Oncological Navigators Claudia, Leticia and Erica and the Fairmont Hospice Staff.

A Funeral service will be held for Jovanna on Friday, February 25th at 11:00 AM at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church 5356 11th St. Katy, Texas 77493.
