

Kelly Elizabeth Martinez was born on August 31, 2004, in Galveston, TX and passed away on February 18, 2025. Kelly’s childhood was a vibrant tapestry of love and laughter, filled with precious memories that shaped her into the incredible person she became. Though she did not have sisters, her two cousins, Karen and Katia, filled that gap in the most beautiful way, becoming the sisters she never had. Together, they shared countless moments of joy, creating a bond that was unbreakable.
Kelly loved to share time with her brother and parents and loved softball and baseball, especially when the Houston Astros, her favorite team, was playing. Her family, always by her side, took her to games, and those moments were cherished. She also loved spending time with her loved ones and many friends, which included going out to eat or going shopping, especially at the mall. She was a wonderful student, a good daughter and friend, the best sister ever, and very responsible at her job with Ulta, which she loved.
Kelly’s radiant personality was a light to everyone who crossed her path. Her warmth and cheerfulness drew people in, and it did not take long for anyone to see what a truly wonderful soul she was. As an older sister to David, she was a loving guide and protector, always looking out for him with a heart full of care. She was surrounded by a circle of friends who adored her, and her life overflowed with the kind of love and connection that most people dream of. Kelly’s life was a beautiful reflection of the love and joy she shared with others, and her memory will always be cherished by those lucky enough to know her.
Kelly is preceded in death by her cousin, Raul Hernandez; her aunt, Esther Martinez; her uncle, Francisco Rodriguez; and her grandparent, Alberto Martinez. She is survived by her brother, David Martinez; and her mother, Lorena Hernandez; and her father, Benjamin Martinez.
