Born to Gus and Enid Anderson, Kendall was born in Galveston and raised in La Marque. He built a successful career in the oil industry during the pioneering stages of directional drilling, where he valued both the challenges of the work and the lasting friendships he made along the way.
From childhood, Kendall displayed a gift for gardening. With a natural green thumb, he could grow anything, and he carried that passion throughout his life. Gardening remained one of his greatest joys, alongside his love of sailing. He spent many happy hours on the water—first with his own boat and later with his son—and treasured his time at his beach house in Surfside after retirement.
Above all, Kendall was devoted to his family. He is survived by his mother, Enid; sister, Linda, and brother-in-law, David Jones; brother, Lt. Colonel Troy Anderson; son, Ryan, and daughter-in-law, Scarlett; and his grandchildren, Vivienne, Reese, and Adam Anderson.
Kendall will be remembered for his hard work, adventurous spirit, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the stories told, the gardens grown, and the generations who carry his memory forward.
