She was a longtime resident of the Houston, TX and Lancaster, TX. Margie was ahead of her time as one of the first women to graduate with a agricultural degree from Oklahoma State University. She had been homecoming queen in Jr College. She worked in the Veterans Medical Center in Dallas, TX as a research Biologist working on pioneering research linking cigarette smoking to cancer. Margie was accomplished in her many hobbies especially cooking, she owned over 800 cookbooks. Her holiday dinners will always be remembered by friends and family. She was also accomplished at making hats, gardening, and ceramics. She loved dogs and travel.
Margie is survived by sister Leta Mae Middleton; niece Jane Ann Middleton.
Margie was preceded in death by father Peter Horn and mother Leta Cecil (Fleming) Horn; brother William Horn.
A graveside service will be held Monday September 21, 2020 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
