Mark Douglas Sprague

Mark Douglas Sprague, age 64, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019. He was born July 21, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to Fredwric Joseph and Betty Anne (Leach) Sprague. He was a 1975 graduate of Spring Branch High School in Houston, Texas. He worked primarily in the steel industry and retired from Cameron Iron Works. He then continued in the steel industry and traveled for business all over the USA and the UK. Mark retired in 2009. He enjoyed the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. He loved getting together with friends and family, BBQ cookoffs and holiday gatherings. Mark is survived by his son, Matthew Justin Sprague; granddaughter, Briley Marie Sprague; sisters: Cynthia Cook, Mary Featherston and spouse Steven; and Catherine Bourg. He is also survived by his nephew, Charles Bourg and spouse Stephanie; niece, Rachel Johnson and spouse Phillip; nephew, Mark (Buddy) Lawrence; niece, Amanda Brooks: and many great nieces and nephews. Also, cousins Christopher Lee, John Lee, uncle Jack Lee and many second and third cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredwric Joseph Sprague; mother, Betty Anne Leach Austin; grandparents: Fredwric Sprague and Gertrude Becking Orton, George Leach and Catherine Tally Leach; aunt, Barbara Lynne Lee; and brothers-in-law, Richard Cook and Paul Bourg. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 21, at 11:00AM, in the Chapel at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 1530 Norwalk Drive, Katy, Texas 77450.
