Mary Lucht (Redfield), 70, of Cypress, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 15, 1954, in Rochester, New York, she is preceded in death by her parents Rosemary and Paul Redfield Sr. Mary lived a life marked by devotion to her family, a spirit of adventure, and a love of the outdoors.
Mary was the beloved wife of Terry Lucht and the devoted mother of Patty (Keith) Piassoli and Christine (Noah) Lucas. She was affectionately known as “Grammy” to her grandchildren—Claire, Emma, Ellis, and August—who were the light of her life.
She is also survived by her siblings Pat Maxwell, Peggy Gandell, Paul Redfield, and Joan Shares, in-laws Dwight & Hazelann Lucht as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Family was at the heart of everything Mary did. She treasured every moment spent with her daughters and grandchildren, whether in the quiet of everyday life or during lively family gatherings. Over the years, Mary also shared a deep bond with her dogs—Katy, Doc, Hank, and Piper—each of whom held a special place in her heart.
An active and spirited woman, Mary loved playing softball with her sister and friends during her early years in Rochester. She later took up tennis and, most recently, enjoyed playing pickleball. Through sports, she formed many lasting friendships. Mary also enjoyed fishing trips, boat rides, and travel, embracing each opportunity to explore the beauty of the world and share it with those she loved.
