Mary Clare Marzec

Mary Clare was born on December 1, 1994, in Vidin, Bulgaria. She was placed into the loving arms of her parents, Mary Ann and Mark Marzec, when she was eighteen months old. She grew up and attended school in the Katy area, where she became a gymnast and both a scholastic and a competitive cheerleader. Mary Clare was a believer in Jesus Christ. She loved her family and stayed close to family members throughout her life. Her friends were also especially important to her. Mary Clare loved animals and had studied to be a veterinary assistant.

Mary Clare is survived by her parents, Mary Ann and Mark Marzec, and her brother Clark Marzec and his wife Janira Marzec. She is surrounded in love by her grandparents Margaret and Daniel Lonergan, aunts and uncles Allison and Jim Lonergan, Janet and Kyle Cuellar, Diane and Craig Phillips, Kristin and Bobby Lonergan, Beata and Phil Marzec, Bernice and Jeff Marzec, Jennifer and Andrew Marzec, and Laura and Michael Marzec; aunts Paula Marzec and Vici Marzec, and many wonderful cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Geraldine and Edmond Marzec.

Services will be held at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church, 3311 N. Fry Rd. Katy, TX, 77449, on Monday, October 9, 2023. The family will receive guests from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. CDT. Recitation of the rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. An interment service will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.
