

Morris Benjamin Konstantin, Jr., age 89, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018, in Katy, Texas. He was born in Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Texas, on February 7, 1929. His parents were Morris and Eula Konstantin. Morris grew up in Alto, Texas, and lived in Texas all of his life, except for his time in the military. Morris enlisted in the US Army Air Corps. While he was there, it became the US Air Force. He was eventually stationed at Ellington Air Force Base near Houston. It was here, through a friend, he met the love of his life, Lila Beatrice Adair. Not long after, Morris and Lila were married. They had three children: Phil, Michael and Milton. This led to twelve grandchildren and five great-grand children.
Morris had several jobs in his lifetime. He picked cotton as a boy, worked in movie theatres as a teenager and adult, his own janitorial supply and vending machine company, security, and law enforcement. His law enforcement career included 26 years in the Harris County Sheriff's department, where he rose to the rank of Captain. Much of that time was at the Washburn Tunnel. He also worked as a Deputy Constable in Harris County and a police officer in Nassau Bay.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy and Elsie. He is survived by his sons: Phil, Michael Sr. and Milton; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children.
A Memorial Service celebrating Morris's life will be Sunday, December 30, 2018, in the Chapel of Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, Texas 77494.
