There are some individuals whose lives are defined not by grand gestures, but by the quiet and steady way they make the world better through love. Nancy Ledvina Roosma was one of those extraordinary people.
Nancy was born on June 5, 1941, in Black River Falls, WI to Anne Lancaster Rogge and Edward J. Ledvina. From the very beginning, she possessed a remarkable strength, a generous heart, and an unwavering devotion to her family. These qualities became the foundation of her life and the legacy she leaves behind.
Nancy was the beloved wife of Bradley Eugene Roosma, the love of her life. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, loyalty, and steadfast commitment. Bradley preceded her in death on Mother’s Day in 2013. On Mother’s Day, May 10, 2026, Nancy was reunited with him. It seems especially fitting that she passed on a day dedicated to mothers, as motherhood and family were the greatest joys of her life.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her four children: Bradley Eugene Roosma II and his wife, Tracy; Laurie-Anne Roosma-McElreath and her husband, Todd; Brooke Roosma Duree and her husband, Jeff; and Holly Roosma. Earlier this year, Nancy experienced the profound heartbreak of losing her daughter, Brooke, a loss she carried with tremendous grace and strength.
Nancy was a cherished grandmother to Taryn (Will), Cheyenne (Aaron), Carson (Brady), Cole, Grant, and Cody. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart and knew, without question, the depth of her love and pride. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Harper and Savannah, and she eagerly anticipated the arrival of her great-grandson. She also treasured her daily phone calls with her sister, Susan Means, during which they shared family updates, exchanged stories, and enjoyed their cherished time to gossip together.
Nancy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved getting lost in a good book, enjoying trips to the casino, and, with affectionate humor, keeping track of her loved ones through Find My iPhone. What may have seemed amusing to others was, to her family, one of the many ways she expressed her constant care and concern.
To know Nancy was to know love. She celebrated the accomplishments of those she loved and shouldered their burdens as if they were her own. She was the first person to call with good news and the steady source of comfort during life’s most difficult moments. Her love was dependable, enduring, and boundless.
Nancy’s legacy is found not in material possessions but in the family she nurtured, the values she instilled, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and devotion. Through her example, her family learned the true meaning of love, strength, and grace.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a treasured grandmother and great-grandmother, a caring sister, and a woman whose presence made everyone around her feel deeply cared for.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bradley Eugene Roosma, and her daughter, Brooke Roosma Duree.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
Though her family’s hearts are broken, they find comfort in knowing that Nancy is once again reunited with Bradley and Brooke.
She was deeply loved, and she will be profoundly missed.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Katy Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m.
