Nora Laurencina Rouse, 85, passed away on March 17, 2026. Born on March 3, 1941, in Kilmalic, Ireland, she grew up in Kilmallock, Ireland, and later made her home in Katy, Texas. Nora will be remembered as a kind, patient, and gracious woman whose steady presence brought comfort and strength to those around her.
Nora worked as a Medical Insurance Specialist, serving others with the same care and diligence that marked every part of her life. Her faith was central to who she was, and she devoted herself to Catholic church-related activities. Among her favorite things were attending Mass, spending time with her grandchild, welcoming visits from friends, and playing “Mom” to her beloved dachshunds over the years—including her miniature dachshund, Ike.
Best known as one of the kindest and genuinely nicest people one could ever meet, Nora lived with a quiet generosity that never sought attention. She did everything for her children and set a lasting example through lifelong deeds of grace, kindness, and patience—an enduring legacy that will continue to guide and inspire her family.
Nora was preceded in death by her youngest son, Sean Rouse. She is survived by her son, Gene Rouse; her grandson, Cade Rouse; and numerous nieces and nephews back in Ireland.
