

Patty was born November 27, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana to James and Virginia Whittington. She graduated from Fair Park High School, Louisiana Tech University and Arkansas State University. On July 04, 1988 Patty married Larry M. Williams. Patty’s business career began with Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages, progressed to AT&T Inc. and finished with Sprint Corporation. Patty enjoyed three sons: Kevin, Owen and Neal. Volunteering at MDA, she helped newcomers understand the world of cancer. At Christmas, she performed for guests and patients, with the Celebration Singers. Patty never missed Sprint For Life, to support ovarian cancer research. She enjoyed participating in the 5K event with her husband, Kevin, Kyle and Cindy.
Since her parents passed away, Patty has become even closer to her Mother-in-law, Marie Williams. They spent Aprils, Octobers, and Christmas’ together, always a good time.
Patty is survived by her husband, Larry. Sons: Kevin, Owen and Neal. Her grandchildren: Kyle, Julia, Maxwell, Juniper, Sadie and Ilah. Brothers: Glenn and Jimmy. Kyle and his Meme had a special relationship. She followed his activities, especially football. She was in the stands for high school and college. Lots of the time needing help from Cindy to reach the seats, but wouldn’t miss seeing the grandson play. There are many special nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins. Patty traveled with her niece Ellen to New York City after Ellen’s high school graduation. She picked apples in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with her sisters-in-law, Lana and Connie. For their mutual love of history, Patty and her sister-in-law Marie traveled together to visit places with historical meaning.
