

Paul Douglas McCullough was born on December 11, 1959 to Margaret Rentie and was adopted by Henry & Earnestine McCullough at a very early age. Paul grew up in Los Angeles, California and upon graduation from Manual Arts Senior High School, he entered into the United States Army where he served his country for 15 years in Active Duty and several more years in Army Reserve.
During his military career, Paul traveled to many cities, states, and countries. While stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana Paul traveled to Lake Charles where he met and later married Felicia Powell on October 8, 1983.
Paul and Felicia parented 3 children, Kevin, Tiffany, and Paul Dewayne. They later became the proud grandparents of 4 grandchildren, Jazlyn, Jayla, Brandon, and Natalie.
Paul was preceded in death by his father Henry McCullough, mother Earnestine McCullough and 2 brothers Lawrence and Stanley Rentie. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Henry Powell, 1 brother-in-law, James Ray, and 1 sister-in-law, Janet Elizabeth.
Paul is survived by his biological mother, Margaret Rentie of Los Angeles, California; his beloved wife of 32 years, Felicia McCullough of Brookshire, Texas; three children, Kevin of Brookshire, Texas, Paul Dewayne of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and Tiffany of Houston, Texas; one son-in-law, Brandon Ray of Houston, Texas. and one daughter-in-law, Jamie McCullough of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; mother-in-law, Ella Thomas of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two brothers-in-law, Joseph (Judy) Powell of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and David (Bridget) Powell of Katy, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Fernanda Powell of Lake Charles, Louisiana. and Carla (Rickey) Reed of Houston, Texas.
Paul is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews and two God-daughters, Erin Powell-Lee & Mercedes Ella Reed.
Paul Douglas McCullough was a "Great" Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend and loved music and people and lived his entire life helping others, sharing his knowledge and mentoring those he most cared about.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am with the funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard in Katy. A reception will follow.
Interment with Honors will be held at 10:15 am on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038
