Pauline "Mom" P. Hicks

Pauline owned and operated a Dry-Cleaning Business for numerous years. Her last adventure was managing a Hotel in Columbus, Texas where she loved meeting new people daily. If you would ask her what her favorite experience in life she would say, “Being a grandparent, there’s nothing more joyful and rewarding to have grandchildren put a smile of your face and a warm feeling in your heart”.

She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, listening to music and watching soap operas. With her sparkling personality, she was known for her silliness, her laugh, her smile and always having the last word. She had a great joy for life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by daughter Vicki Mayo, granddaughter Shelly White, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

To celebrate her life and legacy she leaves behind her children, Lino Perez, Jr, Kenneth “Jarrell” Sparkman, Carol Sparkman, Cathy Mican and husband Ricky, and Linda Phillips and husband Keith; 17-grandchildren, 24-great grandchildren, and her sister Torchie Payne.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy Texas. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Katy Funeral Home, Katy Texas. Followed by a graveside service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery 13001 Katy Frwy., Houston, Texas.
