Raul Saravia Gonzalez

Raúl, nacido el 1 de enero de 1946 en San Miguel, El Salvador, era el hijo predilecto de Gregorio y Dolores. Creció en un hogar humilde y trabajador junto a sus hermanos: Leopoldo, Antonia, Oscar, Arturo, Leticia, Hilda, José, Rosa Emilia, Ramón, Teresa y Tomás. La infancia de Raúl estuvo llena de momentos significativos, como los viajes familiares al río y la elaboración de pan juntos, lo que le inculcó los valores del trabajo duro y la importancia de la familia. Sorprendentemente, Raúl aprendió a leer y escribir por sí mismo usando la Biblia, comenzando su dedicación de toda la vida a su fe.

Al llegar a los Estados Unidos, Raúl trabajó incansablemente en varios trabajos de hospitalidad. Su dedicación y habilidades como chef lo llevaron a una carrera de 12 años en Carney's Restaurant en Los Ángeles, California. Más tarde, Raúl y su amada esposa, Rosa, cumplieron un sueño al abrir su propio restaurante, Lea's Burgers, que lleva el nombre de su primer nieto. Raúl también dedicó su tiempo a su iglesia, sirviendo como conductor y ayudando donde se le necesitaba, encarnando siempre el espíritu de un fiel siervo del Señor.

Su hijo Raúl, que ya falleció, se casó con Cynthia y bendijo a Raúl con cuatro nietos: Lea, Monique, Matthew y Nikolas. Su hijo Walter está casado con Angela y tienen dos hijos, Gianna y Antonio. Génesis está casado con María y tienen dos hijos, Lucas y Emma. A Raúl le sobreviven su esposa Rosa, sus hijos Walter y Génesis, y todos sus nietos. Ahora se encuentra reunido en el Cielo con sus padres, Gregorio y Dolores, y su hijo Raúl.

El corazón de Raúl estaba más lleno cuando estaba rodeado de su familia. Fue un esposo, padre y abuelo devoto que apreciaba los momentos de risa y amor que llenaban su hogar. En su juventud, a Raúl le encantaba jugar al fútbol, pero a medida que crecía, sus mayores pasiones se convirtieron en su fe, la jardinería y pasar tiempo con su familia. Encontró la paz en momentos tranquilos de oración y reflexión sobre la palabra de Dios. La meta de su vida se cumplió cuando falleció, sabiendo que escucharía las palabras: "Bien hecho, mi siervo bueno y fiel". Amén.

Raul, born on January 1, 1946, in San Miguel, El Salvador, was the cherished son of Gregorio and Dolores. He grew up in a humble and hardworking household alongside his siblings: Leopoldo, Antonia, Oscar, Arturo, Leticia, Hilda, Jose, Rosa Emilia, Ramon, Teresa, and Tomas. Raul’s childhood was filled with meaningful moments, such as family trips to the river and making bread together, which instilled in him the values of hard work and the importance of family. Remarkably, Raul taught himself to read and write using the Bible, beginning his lifelong dedication to his faith.

Upon arriving in the United States, Raul worked tirelessly in various hospitality jobs. His dedication and skills as a chef led to a 12-year career at Carney’s Restaurant in Los Angeles, California. Later, Raul and his beloved wife, Rosa, fulfilled a dream by opening their own restaurant, Lea's Burgers, named after their first grandchild. Raul also devoted his time to his church, serving as a driver and helping wherever he was needed, always embodying the spirit of a faithful servant of the Lord.

Raul married Rosa, the love of his life, and together they raised three sons: Raul, Walter, and Genesis. His son Raul, who has since passed, was married to Cynthia and blessed Raul with four grandchildren: Lea, Monique, Matthew, and Nikolas. His son Walter is married to Angela, and they have two children, Gianna and Antonio. Genesis is married to Maria, and they have two children, Lucas and Emma. Raul is survived by his wife Rosa, his sons Walter and Genesis, and all his grandchildren. He is now reunited in Heaven with his parents, Gregorio and Dolores, and his son Raul.

Raul’s heart was fullest when surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished the moments of laughter and love that filled his home. He opened his doors to anyone in need, offering not just a place to stay but also guidance, wisdom, and a foundation in faith. Raul’s love for his family and the Lord was evident in all that he did.

In his younger days, Raul loved playing soccer, but as he grew older, his greatest passions became his faith, gardening, and spending time with his family. He found peace in quiet moments of prayer and reflection on the word of God. His life’s goal was fulfilled when he passed, knowing he would hear the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Amen.

Raul’s legacy of love, faith, and hard work will live on through his family and all who were fortunate to know him. His memory will be cherished forever.
