Robert "Bob" Lee Conlee

Robert was born on April 5, 1941, in Carlinville, Illinois, to Wendell T. and Irene (Toombs) Conlee. Robert served his Country proudly from 1960-1963, in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Baumholder, Germany. He married his beloved wife, Peggy, on December 14, 1963, when he was 23 and she was 19. Robert had a love for Nascar, gardening and travel.

Mr. Conlee was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Conlee and father, Wendell T. Conlee; brother, Donald Conlee; and daughter, Christine Alvarez.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Conlee; son, Steven Conlee, of California; grandchildren: Sarah Zelaya, of Canton, GA; Melissa Alvarez, Michelle Alvarez and Mason Alvarez, all of Katy, TX; great-grandchildren, Emma and Connor Zelaya, of Canton, GA; sisters, Wanda Hallendorff, of Genesee, IL and Nany Stach, of Hanna City, IL; brother, William Conlee, of Summerville, SC; and son-in-law, Mike Alvarez, of Katy, TX.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, March 7, 2016, at 3:00PM, in the Chapel of Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, Texas 77494. Officiants, Gil Harris and Roy Meadows. A catered reception will follow the service in the Event Room of Katy Funeral Home.
