Ronald Gregory Humphrey, born in Houston to Eunice and JB Humphrey, was also a brother to Jimmy, Robert, and Suzanne. Ronnie attended Red Elementary, Johnston Junior High, and graduated from Memorial High School in 1966. Then, he went on to study business at U of H, where he became a lifelong fan of all their sports teams. Before he joined Humphrey Company, Ronnie spent time learning the plumbing trade at a few of the local plumbing supply companies. Once he went to Humphrey, he worked his way up the ranks from plumber to estimator. Ronnie retired in 2017, having made many lifelong friends in the industry.
“Family First” is how Ronnie Lived. Ronnie and Erica Littman married in June 1976 and would have celebrated 48 years together this year. Their son, Brent, and his wife, Stephanie, and Ronnie’s two grandchildren, Nolan and Melanie, survive him. Ronnie had hoped to watch Nolan and Melanie graduate from high school, college, and marry, but that was not meant to be. Ronnie was proud of them beyond measure and supported all of their interests, including Nolan’s Magic 8 Piggy.
Ronnie celebrated all family holidays and birthdays at his Brother Jimmy’s home, along with his wife, Pam, siblings, spouses, nieces, nephews and extended family attached to the Humphrey clan. Ronnie enjoyed close relationships with his wife Erica’s siblings, Michael Littman and his wife, Mary, and their family and Bonnie, and Larry Likover and their family.
Ronnie enjoyed playing dominoes throughout his adult years up until recent health challenges. He loved cruising with his family, and he and Erica enjoyed many trips together. At the time of his death, Lola was his final pup. Ronnie had a great sense of humor and fortunately his politics leaned “right”.. Rest in peace Ronnie.
You leave many who will miss you and tell stories about your for years to come. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
