

She married Leo Moynihan on November 26, 1955 and was blessed with 4 children. She said she found her purpose in life when she became a mother. In 1973 they moved to Houston for Leo’s printing career. Sharon retired from VWR Scientific as a Customer Service Supervisor in 1999. Over the years, she was devoted to multiple ministries in the Catholic church.
She was an avid researcher of genealogy and supported her communities’ election efforts. She was a member of the DAR. She loved to travel, read, and enjoy time with family and friends. She was adored by many for her humor, creativity, interesting conversations, spirit of adventure and thirst for knowledge.
She said, “I continue to learn more everyday and I never get bored with life. I find it wonderful and challenging.” Her greatest loves were her 9 grandchildren. Evan, David, Ryan, Justin, Kirby, Paige, Jake, Josh and Leo, you brought so much joy into Grandma’s life. She will remain in your hearts and watch over you always.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Moynihan and son Daniel Moynihan. She is survived by daughter-in-law Jill Moynihan, son Brian Moynihan, daughter-in-law Sandra Moynihan, daughter Laura (Karl) Krippner, son Sean (Becky) Moynihan, her 9 grandchildren and a loving circle of extended family and friends who meant the world to her. We would like to thank the care-givers of Evergreen Cottages for the love they gave Sharon walking her through her journey with dementia.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, March 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Katy Funeral Home 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77494 and a
Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 23rd 11:00 am at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church 3311 N Fry Rd., Katy, TX 77449
internment at Memorial Oaks Cemetery on Katy Freeway with reception lunch at 2:00pm at the Darling residence.
In keeping with Lenten traditions, flowers will not be placed in the church.
