Stephen was born on December 6, 1974 in Lubbock, Texas to Jerry and Judy Clanton. Soon after, the Clantons moved to Aurora, Colorado where Stephen started to school and where his brother, Robert and sister Jeri Lynn were born. In 1985 the family moved to Parker, Colorado where his youngest brother, Joseph was born. He graduated from Douglas County High School in 1993. During his career, Steve was always broadening his horizons. He spent time in cabinet construction and installation, culinary and catering, sales, and working with his brother Joseph’s moving company.
Steve was twice married and divorced. First to Caia Snyder of Colorado, the mother of his two beautiful children, Jace Ryan and Anjolie Shea Lynn. Then to Alison Smith, also of Colorado.
Steve spent his life between Colorado, Florida and Texas. He liked to collect watches and knives. He loved the mountains, the beach, children, dogs, the 4th of July and all music genres. He was always the jokester, the loudest guy in the room. Perhaps what he loved most was making people he cared about laugh and be happy.
Stephen is survived by his two children, son Jace Ryan and daughter Anjolie Shea Lynn, both of Pensacola, Florida. His parents, Jerry and Judy of Katy, Texas; brother, Robert of Liberty, Texas; sister Jeri Lynn Phillips of Chesapeake, Virginia and brother Joseph of Katy, Texas.
Stephen’s love of life, humor and his desire to make others happy will continue to live in the hearts of those of us he left behind.
