

Stuart “Stu” Nash, devoted husband, father and grandfather, age 84, of Pearland, Texas, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 4, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Stuart was born Monday, August 22, 1938, in New York, New York, to parents, Howard and Emma (Wolff) Nash.
Stuart attended Hackensack High School and joined the Reserves at the age of 17. Following one year in the Reserves, he returned to High School and graduated in 1958. He joined the United States Navy and served his country in active duty for six years. Stu moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in 1972 and became a Police Officer early in his career, in Miami/Dade County. Later, he began working for many of the chemical companies in Florida and South Carolina. In 2003, he moved to Texas to be close to family and was employed at one of the local chemical companies. He loved spending time at the beach, enjoyed cooking and watching his favorite shows on television. Stuart was very proud to be a recovering alcoholic and was a very active member of the AA program, where he was an advocate in helping others in their recovery journey. He was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church and an Alter Attendant for many years. Stuart loved people and his last years were spent greeting guests at Wal-Mart.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 54 years, Marjorie; son, Christopher David and daughter, Sharon Lee. He is survived by daughter, Kerri Plowman and husband, Willy; grandchildren: Laura, Brandon and Maddi; sister, Carolyn Bingham; and nieces, Virginia and June.
Following cremation, the family will celebrate Stuart’s life at a later date with a private service in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
