Sydney Roberts was born on September 6, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana to John Franklin Bardwell and Mildred Evadna Krebs Bardwell. She went into her eternal rest on September 30, 2016 in Houston, Texas surrounded by loving family and friends.
Sydney graduated from Texas City High School in 1960, and married Eddie Roberts on December 27, 1960.
Sydney's pride and joy was her family. With over 20 members, she always had plenty of photos to fill frames and albums to view all over the house. She loved to use her iPad to FaceTime, share pictures, memories and funny stories with her family.
She loved to help people and never met a stranger. Part of her gift was cooking. She'd make you whatever you wanted, but her favorite was chocolate chip pancakes. Sydney also loved to sew, crochet and needlepoint.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Franklin Bardwell Jr. Staying behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Eddie; two sons, Russ Roberts (Lisa) and Keith Roberts; two daughters, Tracey McIntire (Jim) and Elicia Patrick (Curtis), as well as 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation in Sydney's name, please do so for the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation. Her life ended too soon and she fought Mesothelioma for years. Please help find a cure for this terrible disease.
