Tiago's early life began in Luanda, Angola, where he spent just over a month before moving to London, United Kingdom. He spent the first five years of his life in the UK, where he attended Copthorne Preparatory School for kindergarten. During his time in the UK, Tiago was a happy and extrovert child that called attention of everyone who surrounded him. His curiosity, kindness to others and willing to offer a hug identified him. He was affectionately known as “Tiago the hugger”.
In 2015, Tiago and his family relocated to Houston, United States, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He continued his education at the British International School of Houston, where he instantaneously made many, many friends. Tiago became such a popular child amongst his peers, to the point that almost every weekend he had an invitation for a birthday party, play date, or sleepover. He later joined The Founders Classical Academy of Conroe, where he studied until the last day of his life.At Founders, he remained the same friendly, sweet teenager and discovered his passion for basketball. Tiago was a student in the 10th grade and had received an award for passing all of his 9th-grade STAR tests.
Tiago had basketball “running in his blood”, he enjoyed every second he was exposed to the sport by joining the middle and high school basketball team where he played for the last three seasons. When he wasn’t playing basketball, you could find him playing video games, drawing, watching funny videos on YouTube or eating.
Tiago was best known for his kindness, friendliness, and mannerisms. He was a sweet boy and well-mannered. Tiago was a great friend, and beloved son, grandson, nephew, and cousin to us all.
Tiago is survived by his father, Romualdo Pascoal; his mother, Diana Silva; his grandmother, Francisca de Fátima Tavares Ferreira; his grandfathers, Artur Pascoal and Pilartes da Silva; and his grandmother, Bernardete Silva.
