

Toby Crabtree was born in Oklahoma City, OK on November 4, 1952 to Dorothy and Toby Crabtree, Jr. He and his family moved from Oklahoma to California when he was 5 years old.
Toby is survived by his sisters, Terrie, Tammie and Tracie; his two sons, Ryan(Suzanne) and Sean and his grandchildren, Anna, Ethan, Christian and Tyler. He also leaves behind the love of his life, Deborah, and her children and grandchildren, as well as, nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
In his early career, he was a mortgage broker and real estate agent that loved what he did. He was not afraid to try new things and was an entrepreneur at heart.
Toby was devoted to serving the Lord. He dedicated himself to service in various ministries and met some life-long friends along the way. Photographers in Christ’s Service(PICS) became a huge part of his life while at Saddleback Church he loved serving church and community helping to commemorate and memorialize significant life events and relationships. His two favorite things to shoot were Mother's Day events and photographing military families at Camp Pendleton. When he moved to Oklahoma City in 2017, he became involved in volunteer work with Coffee Creek Church. He helped deliver beds through their ministry and loved to serve community and help where he could.
He was a classically trained singer and loved to shower anyone with music. He was a member of the Orange County Men’s Chorale. He participated in the worship at Saddleback Church. He was a member of the Houston Schiller Community Chorus when he moved to the Houston area. Not a day went by, that Toby did not sing.
Toby loved to do so many activities and had many different interests. Toby loved to go sailing, camping, motorcycling, woodworking, off-roading in his big red truck and gardening. Toby was passionate about cooking and made excellent meals for the people he loved and was a great entertainer; he loved to make people feel special and great food was his language. He loved to explore new places and travel. He was always finding and helping animals. He helped rescue bunnies, hawks, raccoons, hummingbirds and so many other “little critters”. Toby had a very gentle temperament and animals and babies loved him. He will be incredibly missed.
