Tyrel Brendel McPherson

Tyrel Brendel McPherson, was born September 11, 1989 at 1:59 pm to the union of Sonya Carney and Terrence McPherson. He was born at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas but was raised in Denver, Colorado. Tyrel was called home by our Lord and Savior on July 4, 2023.

Tyrel accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He acknowledged Christ as his personal Savior. His love for Christ was exemplified in his daily walk by his infectious smile.

Tyrel was an avid athlete in school and had a love for math and numbers. He loved inspiring young boys to be honorable men.

Tyrel was an exceptionally great father to his two sons. He spent countless hours training and spending time with them. He assured them that he loved them very much and showed his sons the type of love and guidance any son would want from a “Dad”. His greatest desire in life was to be the best father that he could be, "A job well done”.

His family knew him to have a heart of gold. He would give you his last.

Tyrel was a professional Barber for 15 years. His clients were more than clients, they were family to him. He took pride in his work and loved making people feel good about themselves.

Tyrel is survived by his loving wife, Corissa McPherson; two sons, Phenix Brendel Rudd and Khalil Brendel McPherson; three bonus sons, Davion, David and Devin Godley; mother, Sonya Carney; father, Terrence McPherson; grand parents, Jessie and Lavonne McPherson, Harold Carney, Jr, Lonie Marie Wilson; Siblings, Kiesha Larraga, Tyshel McPherson and Major McPherson; four nephews, Angelo Larraga, Dash Larraga, Jordan Pruitt Jr., and Legend Louis; one niece, Jessie Marie Pruitt. He leaves his mother-n-law, Pat Mathis and also aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of beloved friends.

A celebration of life for Tyrel will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a catered reception at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77494.
