

She was born in Worcester, MA., December 14, 1917, the daughter of Everett L. and O. Louise (Crawford) Spencer and had resided in Connecticut prior to moving to Keene in 1953.
While residing in Connecticut, she had been employed with Rawley Plumbing Supply in Putnam and with the American Optical Company in Southbridge, MA..
She was an active, long time member of the United Church of Christ in Keene where she had served as a deacon and had served on several committees one of which was the visitiation committee.
Mrs. Brew had volunteered for over ten years with the Cancer Society door to door campaigns and had served for several years as the co-city chairperson.
She was a member of the Cheshire County Home Extension Service Cooperative, an Auxiliary member of the Disabled American Veterans and Prisoners of War.
Mrs. Brew enjoyed bowling and golf in her earlier years.
She is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, James P. Brew who died in 1996.
Survivors include: her daughter Barbara A. White and her husband Herbert of Westmoreland, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Brew were private. There were no public calling hours.
It has been requested that gifts be made to a person's favorite charity in memory of Mrs. Brew.
The Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene is in charge of the arrangements.
