
She was born in Taylor, Texas, on July 27, 1926, the daughter of William E. and Germania (Wolfe) Meister. She was a 1942 graduate of Taylor High School and went on to earn a Certificate from the Durham Business College in 1943. After Graduation, Annette moved to San Antonio and worked at Camp Swift, a United States Army Base set up in 1942. It was there that she met her future husband, John D. Corliss, Sr., of North Hampton, NH. They were married in a ceremony in San Antonio, on February 12, 1945.
In 1950, the family moved to Keene, and then later, in 1976, to Winchester. Locally, Mrs. Corliss worked for TIMKEN Corporation, formerly MPB Corporation, retiring in 1986 from their Accounting Department, and later for TD Bank, formerly CFX Bank.
In her teens, she enjoyed performing. She won contests by singing and dancing in many competitions. She was captain of a bowling team, The Cricketeers, with her daughters and they won many championships. She also enjoyed playing BINGO, SCRABBLE, crocheting and knitting but spending time with her family, especially around the holidays was the highlight of her days. Christmases, with all the family present, singing carols, spending time together; that was her true happiness.
She is survived by her children: John D. Corliss and his wife Betty of Winchester; Dawn M Almand and her husband Robert of DeLeon Springs, FL., Priscilla Brisson and her husband James of Swanzey; Rhonda Stephens and her husband Herbert (Chan) of Winchester and Robert M. Corliss and his wife Sandi of Claremont; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Russell Meister and his wife Charlene of McGregor, TX, Kermit Meister of Austin, TX and her sister: Carla Dumble and her husband David of Taylor, TX.
She was predeceased by her husband: John D. Corliss, Sr., who passed in 1980 as well as their daughter: Lana G. Corliss who passed in 1970.
At the request of the family, there will be no public calling hours. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 10:00, in the family lot at Monadnock View Cemetery.
