Arlene J. "Nina" Main

She was born in Peterborough, NH on March 10, 1935 the daughter of Ralph and Gladys (Barrett) Willard. She was a former resident of Keene and has lived in Swanzey for the past twenty years.

Arlene grew in this area, attended local schools and was a 1953 graduate of Keene High School. Following graduation, she had worked for the National Grange Mutual Insurance Company, the MPB Corporation and most recently for the school lunch program at the Symonds School in Keene.

She enjoyed spending time and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed her flower gardens and crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Main with whom she would have celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on February 16, 2017. She is also survived by two sons; Bruce Main and his wife Julie of North Port, FL, James Main and his wife Jennifer of Marlborough, NH and her daughter Debra Smith of Keene, NH; four grandchildren; Michael Main, Nina Mooney, Skyler Main & Molly Main; two great-grandchildren; Raelyn Mooney and Sydney Mooney several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and four siblings; Ralph Willard, Jr., Richard Willard, Shirley Rogers and Jane Bardis; her grandson Nicholas Smith and her son-in-law Timothy Smith.

An hour of visitation will be held at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, on Wednesday, December 14th from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Dawn Garrett- Larsen will officiate. Burial will be private in the spring.
