Bruce Winston O'Neil

His parents, John H. and Beatrice D (Beauchesne) O’Neil welcomed their son into the world on April 9, 1938, in Keene, NH. He grew up in Keene, attending St. Joseph Regional School and was a 1957 graduate of Keene High School.

Bruce worked for 34 years as a driver and later as vice president with Cheshire Oil Company in Keene.

Bruce took great pride in his home and yard, always cleaning the interior, and working outside ensuring that the lawns and landscaping were meticulous. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing.

Bruce resided for 20 years in Lake Placid, Florida before returning to Swanzey where he has resided for the past 12 years.

He was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Keene and help with the collections at the weekend masses. In his younger years, he was an altar boy at the parish.

He will be greatly missed by many, especially his wife of 66 years, Sandra (Doody) O’Neil of Swanzey; a son, David O’Neil and his wife, Ranae, of Harrisville, NH; his daughter, Kathleen Lawrence and her husband, Jeffrey, of Winchester, NH; his grandchildren, Matthew O’Neil and his wife Samantha, Janelle Hodgman an her husband Keith, Danielle Lawrence and her partner Benjamin Drugg, Jenna Roeder and her husband Zack, Stacey Theodosiou and her husband Damian; eight great-grandchildren; and four cousins. A son, Bruce W. O’Neil, Jr. predeceased him.

Services and burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Keene, will be held privately by the family.
