

She was born in Barre, Vermont, June 12, 1949, the daughter of Yvonne R. (Therrien) and Douglas A. Gray, Sr. At the age of 12, she moved to Keene and she was a 1967 graduate of Keene High School.
During her working career, Mrs. Phippard worked with Markem Corporation, MPB Corporation and the National Grange Mutual Insurance Company, all of Keene. She later worked with the former Granite Bank as supervisor of accounting, then with the Peerless Insurance Company in their accounting department and later as supervisor of their mailroom. For twelve years, she worked for SAU 29 in the area of federal grants and special education.
She attended Franklin Pierce College, graduating magnum cum laude with a bachelor degree in both accounting and business management.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed photography, scrap booking, making cards and quilting. She loved to do country-western line dancing and she was the leader of the “Side-Kicks” line dancing group. They danced at several area nursing homes as well as many local fundraising benefits. She was a member of the Relay-For-Life Team “Peoples United Against Cancer”, and she was very successful with her fund raising efforts for this annual event.
Her favorite pastime was anytime that she spent with her granddaughter Ashley (who was her pride and joy), and additionally anytime spent with her family and friends, and taking walks with her Shih Tzu’s, “Princess and Roman”. She loved to camp and travel with her husband in their RV and she looked forward to traveling with him in retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Andrew C. Phippard of Keene, two daughters; Tracy L. Ledoux and her husband, Jonathan, of Keene, Carrie M. Tower and her husband, Richard, of Whitingham, VT, a granddaughter, Ashley N. Ledoux of Keene, a brother, Douglas A. Gray, Jr. and his wife, Joanne of Sevierville, TN, a sister, Theresa Dussault and her husband, Richard, of Merrimack, NH, and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed sharing her love with others and recently extended her family to include: Cindy MacDonald, and Desiree and James Doell and their children Anthony and Vincent Doell.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:00AM in St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Phippard’s memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Joyce Liu’s GYN Research Fund, 450 Brookline Avenue, YC 1421, Boston, MA 02215.
