Christopher L. Langworthy

Chris was born June 24, 1963, in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Joseph C. and Judith V. (Funicelle) Langworthy. He was a 1981 graduate of South Glens Falls High School, and an accomplished athlete. For more than thirty years Chris worked as a driver for FedEx.

He was a very compassionate and caring man devoted to the support and love of his children. He was always active in their lives and taught them the values of respect, friendship, hard-work and above all, the lasting impression that you leave in the lives of those around you. He loved to be out in nature, and was a passionate hunter and fisherman. He was very active in the support of his son, Hunter and his pursuit of baseball. Chris attended countless games and assisted with photography and coaching. His compassionate heart led him to reach out to both people and animals. His constant companion and beloved black lab, Casey, passed away in 2011 after 14 years of love and friendship.

He is survived by his daughter, Cristin M. Langworthy of Rhode Island, his two sons, Joseph G. Langworthy of Rhode Island and Hunter R. Langworthy of Swanzey, NH, his father, Joseph Langworthy of Maine, two brothers, Scott Langworthy and his wife Holly of New York and Edmund Langworthy and his wife Dawn of Maine, his nephew, Ian Langworthy, many extended family members, and his godson, Caleb Hansel. He is also survived by the mother of his youngest son Hunter, Michelle Fontaine and her family of Swanzey, NH. Chris was loved and respected by many friends and will be remembered as a good man by all who knew him. He is predeceased by his mother, Judy Langworthy, who passed away in June.

Family and friends are invited to call on the family Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 5pm to 7pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH. There will be a brief time of remembrance at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Rd, West Swanzey, NH. 03446 and to the Chris Langworthy Memorial Fund which has been established through TD Bank.
