Conrad Joseph Lazzaro

He was born in Keene, NH, June 09, 1936, the son of Guido and Rosa (Jacob) Lazzaro.

Mr. Lazzaro resided in Keene for most of his life, with a period of time residing in Swanzey, NH.

He was a very hard worker, working for over 20 years in shoe repair and leathering with the former Boccia and Grout Shoe Store in Keene. His skills in shoe repair and leathering continued while working at the former Robert Harts Shoe Manufacturing in Keene. He later worked in housekeeping and maintenance at McKerley Nursing Home (now Genesis) and Langdon Place of Keene.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing. He was a race car enthusiast, enjoying watching NASCAR and also following his son, Keith’s circle track racing performances. His favorite pastime was that spent with his grandchildren, and he especially enjoyed their delight of receiving donuts every time he saw them.

He was a past member of the Italian Club. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, taking great pride in his 30 years of sobriety and being actively involved in the many meetings that he attended, and being a sponsor for many.

He is survived by two sons, Keith C. Lazzaro of Swanzey, Scott J. Lazzaro, Sr. and his wife, Judy, of Keene; six grandchildren; Shawna Lazzaro, Shania Lazzaro, Valerie Paige, Heather Paige, Scott Lazzaro, Josh Lazzaro; eleven great-grandchildren, Kathleen Lazzaro, Abigail Lazzaro, Olivia Lazzaro, Matthew Lazzaro, Samantha Lazzaro, Jazzlynn Lazzaro, Josh Lazzaro, Jr., Hayden Cook, Camron Finley, Casey Paige, Larson Wheeler; a brother, Paul Lazzaro of Marlborough, NH; brother-in-law, Ray Blanchard of Keene; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Roland Lazzaro and a sister, Rose Blanchard.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 8th at 1:00PM in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene. There are no public calling hours.
