

Edward Trombly, 73, of 20 Hummingbird Hill Lane, Grantham, and formerly of Keene, died Thursday, July 5th at the Westwood Care & Rehabilitation Center in Keene. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and love.
He was born in Concord, March 24, 1939, the son of Napolean and Gertrude (Foley) Trombly and had resided in Keene for many years prior to retiring to Grantham.
Mr. Trombly graduated from Concord High School, class of 1957 and from the Manchester Voc-Tech. He retired in 2002 from MPB in Keene where he had been employed for 42 years as a manufacturing engineer.
When he moved to Keene, he attended St. James Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Keene Lodge of Elks, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and Bretwood Golf Course.
Ed loved the game of golf and played as often as he was able for the past ten years at courses throughout New England with a group of close friends.
He is survived by his wife Sally (Thompson) Trombly whom he married fifty two years ago at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Concord. Sally was his high school sweetheart and the love of his life.
He is predeceased by his brother Raymond (Butch) Trombly, and two sisters Pauline and Marie.
Survivors other than his wife of Grantham, include: a son Michael Trombly and his wife Bonnie of Swanzey; two daughters: Kristen Flemming and her husband Sean of Swanzey and Sharon Swede and her husband Phil of Greenville SC.; his brothers: Elmer (Al) Trombly of Concord, Nelson Trombly of FL., and Paul Trombly of Boscawen; his sisters: Lois Elaine Woodman of Concord, and Barbara Spinney of Newington; three grandchildren: Alex Trombly and his wife Hannah, Kelsey Trombly and Abbie Trombly as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Trombly will be held Friday morning at 11 o'clock, July 20th, at St. James Episcopal Church, West Street, Keene. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Keene Elks Lodge on Roxbury Street. Friends are invited.
There are no public calling hours. Burial will be private and will be held at a later date.
