

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 17, 1924 the daughter of Harold and Anastasia (Anagnospoulus) Harrison.
She grew up and attended schools in New York. Evelyn moved to Keene, NH in 1985 coming from New York. She was employed as a secretary by the Keene Public Library for more than ten years. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Keene and was active in the Elpis Society. She was a crafter and painter, an excellent cook and avid reader. She loved to be with her family and enjoyed knitting and sending her knitted items to the orphans in third world countries.
She is survived by two daughters; Thessalia “Lia” Nielsen and her husband Roy P. Nielsen of Petersburg, NY and Rosalie A. Kulbacki and her husband Thomas Kulbacki of Hillsboro, NH; two sons, Harold Diamond and his wife Anita of Mary Ester, FL and George C. Diamond of Keene, NH; one sister Janet Harrison of Keene, NH and one daughter-in-law Carol Diamond; nine grandchildren; Noelle Diamond, Erik G. Nielsen and his wife Erin, Leslie Faulkner and her husband Marty, Nicholas Diamond, Travis Diamond, Victoria Diamond, Bryan Nielsen and his wife Chelsie, Michael Kirouac and Daniel Kirouac; three great-grandchildren; Luke Robert Nielsen, Eleanor Thessalia Nielsen and Sophia Rose Faulkner. Her husband George J. Diamond, a son James G. Diamond and a sister Dorothy Harrison all died earlier.
Funeral services will be held in the St. George Orthodox Church, 70 West Street, Keene, NH on Saturday morning, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park, Avenue, West Keene. Family and friends are invited to call at the Foley Funeral home, 49 Court Street, Keene on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
